Town Hall Fountain Job Summary

The fountain was presented to the town when the first water system was connected in 1891. Therefore, it is a historical monument of importance, and a focus on the side of town hall.

The garden club plants the fountain for each of the four seasons. The winter planting depends upon the generosity of membership to provide evergreens, holly and red twig dogwood etc. then decorative items are added for holiday spirit. The spring, summer and fall plantings differ from year to year depending upon availability of annuals or perennials and the artistic tastes of those responsible for the plantings.

Since the fountain is in a very sunny location, watering twice a week is required during the summer. The planting and watering can be accomplished with the help of three members.
